OCHS establishes a forum of communication for all those interested in herpetology. The
dispersion of information and communication is accomplished through monthly meetings.
OCHS endeavors to promote the scientific study and conservation of reptiles and 
amphibians.

Regional herpetology is emphasized ; however any herpetological subject may be 
entertained.

OCHS encourages communication between members and the public to foster a better 
understanding of reptiles and amphibians.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in herpetology. Youth membership and participation is encouraged.
