Category: Field Hunt
Description:
One of our members, Richard Butler, has invited OCHS to a herp hunt on his property.
Richard owns 250 hundred acres with seven ponds in Okfuskee County.

This hunt will be different from our other hunts in that there will be additional, optional
activities for our members who would like to come, but would prefer not to hunt for
herps.

For those who would prefer to fish, bring your fishing gear and go fishing at the ponds.

In addition, Richard has an outdoor grill by one of the ponds and we're welcome to
have a cookout while we're there.
If you plan to come and participate in a cookout, please bring your own food to grill
and drinks. (No alcoholic beverages.)

Richard has indicated that we are welcome to stay as long as we want and we can
have an evening herp hunt also, if we like, before we head home.

The hunt will be:

Saturday, July 17th.

9:30 A.M.

We plan to meet in the parking lot behind the Coldwell Banker Realty Office
at 504 Tower Drive in Moore, OK. (Some of you may recognize this address
as Johnny Abbott's office.)

Note: For those of you who live outside ( east ) of the metro area and want to come, but
don't want to drive all the way into Moore; you can still meet us at Richard's place.
To get to Richard's place take Exit # 212 ( Hwy. 56 ) off of I-40 between Cromwell and Okemah.
Go north on Hwy. 56.
Richard lives 2.6 miles north of I-40 on the SE side of the highway. ( The first house on the
right past the Okfuskee County line.) He has a " huge cast iron gate " which is usually
open " and the address on the mail box is: RR 4 Box 79.

If it's raining or stormy, we'll cancel the hunt and try to reschedule it for another date.

If you are coming, please be on time. It takes about one hour and fifteen minutes
to get to Richard's property from OKC.

For those of you who want to, we'll try to car pool (caravan) to help save gas.

Thank you Richard so much, for this very generous invitation.

Larry
